Welcome to the Magnet Tavern. This lovely building was constructed
about 1750 A.D. opposite Fydell House to serve the needs of the
people of the thriving port and town of Boston and it has been doing
that ever since.
The whole building was recently extensively refurbished to a very
high standard.
Post-Covid, a number of fundamental operating changes have been
made to ensure the best possible service to customers while
maintaining a viable business.
Bar - The tavern is a free house serving good quality beer and real ales.
The decor is traditional, displaying original furniture and fittings.
The bar is open from Wednesday to Sunday each week.
At the rear, the bar opens onto a large, pleasant patio area overlooking
the River Witham.
Accommodation - The
bedrooms are clean and modern within the original layout.
Accommodation is available every day. All rooms have Smart TV.
It is no longer possible to offer food, however, a 2-minute walk will find
guests in the centre of Boston with a range of excellent cafés and
restaurants.
Parking - The tavern does not have its own parking, but, there is reasonably-priced town council parking right
outside the front door.
So, if you are coming to Boston for a visit to historical sites, for business or to rave it up at the Gliderdrome (a
popular event venue), we would love to see you.
